Conflict, displacement, and economic hardship often force children out of school. Families are left focused on immediate survival, with little opportunity to invest in education.
Without access to learning, children lose more than a classroom. Opportunities disappear, poverty deepens, and hope for the future becomes harder to reach.

Across the communities SLED serves, education is opening doors for children who might otherwise be left behind.
Today, more than 1,000 children are receiving consistent education through SLED programs, giving them the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a stronger future.
In Lebanon, children from the Bedouin community at Al Mahaba School now have access to a safe learning environment, expanded educational resources, including a library and computer lab, and teachers committed to helping them thrive.
Education does more than prepare children for tomorrow. It strengthens families, restores hope, and helps communities move toward long-term stability.
What This Looks Like
